Scene I is concerned with Socio-Semiotic Potential,
Scene II with the Instantiation Socio-Semiotic Potential, and
Scene III with the Individuated Instantiation of Socio-Semiotic Potential.
It is the third of these which specifically deals with the mapping of the socio-semiotic onto the biological.
The additional scene, Scene IV, brings in the notion of metafunctional complementarity, and the reasons for doing so will become clear as we approach that point.
