Slide 64: Reconstruing The Copenhagen Interpretation

As the physicist John Archibald Wheeler once put it:
No phenomenon
is a real phenomenon
until it is an observed phenomenon.

If we take into account the view that the construal of experience by consciousness is instantial, we can reword Wheeler’s succint characterisation of the Copenhagen interpretation as:

No construal of experience as meaning
is a actual construal of experience as meaning
until it is an instantiated construal of experience as meaning.
